I don’t remember much about my dad anymore. But when I watch old videos and look at how he interacts with me, all I could see is the fond look in his eyes, every moment lined with a lot of love and maybe a little exasperation at my kid self. I feel it against my skin and through my heart.
It made me realize two things:
1. I am unaccountably glad of new technology. The fact that events from more than ten years ago can be experienced again today is incredible.
2. My father loves me. Though he’s gone from this world, his love definitely isn’t. Love is infinite, patient. Even memories carry love.
